The magic of illuminating a darkened house
The CANCA project focuses on two adjoining flats in the centre of Málaga. The family of three sisters had inherited them, and making joint decisions in this process was vital to its success.
Saving time and headaches in decision-making was one of our objectives. As this project involved three parties, a joint brainstorming session was needed. Each of them contributed their own viewpoint, and our team started to work on a personalised basis.
This project had very peculiar characteristics: although the two flats were initially joined, they needed to be separated to give the rooms a cosy and homely atmosphere.
As these properties have a long history, we recovered certain elements they wanted to keep: some large shelves in a living room used as an office and a table. However, the passage of time had taken its toll on them, and the cherry shade of the melanin added nothing to their marketing strategy.
As you can see in the pictures, we updated the appearance of these two elements, which were so important to them: the shelves and the table were separated, painted and placed separately in the two living rooms.
The modern touch is seen with the new furniture, adapted to the family’s budget and the demand for home staging in Málaga city.
The result speaks for itself: two entrance halls and two contrasting living rooms in the Before and After.
